Offroading 101: Why you should air down your tires. Airing down your tires is all about increasing your contact patch between your tires and the ground. Decreasing tire pressure will also let your tread confirm to obstacles better. Just make sure that you air back up to street pressure before you get back out on the road heading home. https://arbusa.wordpress.com/2011/10/26/the-lowdown-off-road-tire-pressures/

Outdoor Edibles: Blackened green beans in the Skottle. This one is so easy and delicious that you’ll be coming it at home with your regular dinners. For my family of 5 I use 3 cans of green beans. Drain the beans, Toss them in the Skottle, add a few shakes of onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and cook until they are starting to darken. Don’t burn them to a crisp though.

Gear Review: the Tembo Tusk Skottle. We’ve mentioned it before but haven’t given it a thorough review. The disk is seasoned and cleaned just like cast iron. It has legs that screw in to the bottom and has a bracket that supports a Coleman one burner propane stove. There are so many great dishes that you can cook on the Skottle that the possibilities are endless. I’ve cooked chicken, steak, fish, and vegetables in my Skottle already. The only problem I’ve had is trying to cook with propane at temps below 10°. The compressed liquid propane freezes in the connections.
