Today’s offroad question of the day is the first in a series of terrain smack down match-ups.
Which do you prefer, sand or mud?
Today’s answer of the day answers the question from yesterday, “would you buy your next offroader on eBay?”
The smart answers were no, but with caveats. Buying a trail only rig would be okay. Seeing it in person and giving it a full look would make it okay. Catching a sweet deal also makes it doable.
I agree with everyone and I’ll confess again, I bought my XJ on eBay and have been very pleased with it. But I think my experience is the exception, not the rule.
Today’s offroading question of the day is, “would you buy your next offroader on eBay?”
Yesterday’s question was, “do you think that physical fitness is a requirement for offroading?”
The consensus was, it’s not a requirement but when it comes to repairs and recovery strength and endurance become extremely important!
The question from Friday was, “do you have a pet that you take on the road?”
The answers ranged from “yes, but one at a time”, “no”, and my personal favorite referring to cats not making good offroading partners.
Thanks for the participation and be sure to check out today’s Offroading Question of the Day!
Today’s Offroading Question of the Day is, “do you have a pet that you take on the trails?”
Yesterday’s question of the day was, “is your trail rig also your daily driver?”
The answers today are different than the answers would have been a few years ago. But today 100% of the respondents are fairly conservative wheelers. Driving your trail rig daily means that you want to keep it running in top shape as much as possible. Must prefer do have a Plan B though, just in case weekend adventures are to much for the rig.
Here’s a quick snapshot of some of the responses.
Each weekday, we ask an offroad and adventure travel related question of audience. I collect the responses and then post a summary on the blog. We hope that this will help keep you up to date on the ever changing trends in the offroading universe!
Today’s question is, “is your offroad rig also your daily driver?”
Yesterdays question of the day was, “so you take paper maps with you on your offroading adventures?”
The overwhelming response was from well-prepared adventurists who love their electronic navigation aids, but do not trust them! 98% rejoined that they do take paper maps on the trails.
This sparked a number of other discussions like, how do you protect your maps? What software and devices do you use? Where do you get your maps?
Below you’ll find a couple snapshots of responses and discussion that you may have missed since the discussion takes place on Facebook, Twitter, Google + and in the comments section of the blog.
